Poems for the People offers an immersive day of performance with spoken word, written word, music, groceries, and community set against the rich cultural backdrop of Santa Fe. The event features local artisans, free verse poetry, artists, and opportunities for students and audiences to participate in public poetry.
Our star poet, William, has over 25 years of performing live action poetry live in front of and for audience members. His voice resonates with earthly tones of the New Mexican desert and the spirit of nature. If you purchase one of his poems, he will read and recite it out loud in public for you. Students are always welcome to bring their poetry and review it at the event with William.
